Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Workland Scout ("Scout"), a free career-support platform operated by Workland HQ. By accessing or using Scout — on the web or via WhatsApp — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

Scout provides free career-support tools, including CV analysis and rewriting, cover letter generation, job matching and alerts, interview preparation, and related coaching. The service is provided at no cost to job seekers.

2. Free service

Scout is free to use. There are no paid plans or premium tiers for job seekers, and we do not require payment to access any feature. Donations to support the platform are voluntary and are not a condition of use.

3. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 16 years old and seeking employment to use Scout. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account secure. Your phone number and/or email identify your account across WhatsApp and the web.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate access for any misuse.

5. AI-assisted content

Scout uses artificial intelligence, alongside human expertise, to generate CVs, cover letters, analyses and suggestions. These outputs are tools to assist you — they may contain errors and should be reviewed and edited by you before use. You are responsible for the final content you submit to employers.

6. No guarantee of employment

Scout is a career-development service, not a recruitment agency or employer. We help you present yourself well and find opportunities, but we do not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any particular outcome. Job listings are gathered from third-party sources and we do not guarantee their accuracy, availability, or legitimacy — always verify roles independently.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the CVs and content you provide. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service to you (for example, to analyse or rewrite your CV). See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

8. Donations

Donations made through Scout are voluntary contributions to support the platform's running costs and mission. Donations are processed securely by our payment provider. Unless required by law, donations are non-refundable.

9. Limitation of liability

Scout is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Workland HQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Scout after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
